Friday finds from across the globe
It’s the end of the month at my job so therefore I’m insanely busy with work. That has left very little time to actually blog this week, let alone read anything on the internet. But don’t worry, I managed to have a mid-life crisis at the beginning of the week and then when the universe threw me some very awesome things, I became overwhelmed and stopped sleeping. I somehow managed to fit all that in.
I’m working on a post about my worries of traveling solo through China but for now, you can read some of these goodies that I did happen to spy around the internet.
- One thing I’ve noticed is that China is GORGEOUS. Art of Backpacking posted a photo essay of Yangshuo in Guangxi Province in China and it doesn’t disappoint.
- This is an interesting discussion on Matador Network on whether you can date a non-traveler or not. I personally am not sure I could do it. I once was in a three year relationship with one and my desire to travel and his desire not to eventually created a massive divide between the two of us.
- Nate St. Pierre wrote a gorgeous piece on struggle. It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, doesn’t matter how big or small it may seem, you should read this.
- I made this Thai Chicken Curry Soup recipe from Maris’ blog, In Good Taste. I have made several things of hers and while I’m not sure if I did it correctly (mine came out looking very…yellow in color, hers not so much), it was pretty tasty!
Hope you all have a fabulous friday and enjoy your weekend!
